The Loose Cover Cutting course is designed for those with some experience in soft furnishings and/or upholstery, and is designed to develop your skills.
If you have a chair or suite that is comfortable, fits the room or is an inherited piece you can spruce it up with a cover that is cleanable and hardwearing – especially if there are children around.
For those already in the furnishing business this course is a must! Suitable chairs will be discussed along with the best materials to use for the most successful outcome.
Five days of planning, cutting and making up a loose cover for a fireside chair with arms. A demonstration will show you how to cut a cover on the half, ensuring a symmetrical cover . Tuck-ins, which will help to hold the cover in place, will be fully explained and demonstrated.
Students will need to bring a fireside chair and fabric to use and further details will be sent on enrolment. PLEASE NO - buttonbacks, leather chairs, chairs with show wood or wing backs
